Half of Mexican aquaculture farms produce tilapia today
Tilapia is one of the fish species produced in the Mexican aquaculture farms having greater consumption and popularity, and it represents a food solution for the population of Mexico
So much is the popularity of this fish that 5 out of 10 aquaculture farms in Mexico produce tilapia, that is, a total of 4,634 of the 9,230 that operate in the 32 states of the country, which together grow 117,806 tonnes inland.
