AquaChile processing plant now the world’s biggest

AquaChile has completed the expansion of its Quellón process plant in the Los Lagos region, which has made it the largest and salmon plant in the world with an annual production capacity of 140,000 tonnes.

The expansion takes the plant’s capacity well past that of what is now the second-largest plant, Mowi’s Morpol processing facility in Poland, which can produce 90,000 tonnes annually.

AquaChile has invested US $21 million during 2019 in the expansion of the Quellón plant that now processes........................................................
