Barramundi Asia plans to farm 40,000t offshore

Singapore-based Barramundi Asia plans to farm 40,000 metric tons of the fish offshore in waters controlled by Brunei, reports the Brunei Bulletin.

The company will build an offshore cage farm to grow barramundi using technology adopted from salmon farming in Norway, Joep Staarman, managing director of Barramundi Asia, told the publication.
