Big drop forecast in Scottish salmon harvests

Scottish salmon production is forecast to fall by 11% to 155,000 tonnes this year, according to Norwegian farmer SalMar, which own a 50% stake in Scottish Sea Farms.

SalMar made the prediction in its first-quarter report, in which it stated: “After several quarters of growth, the situation in the UK is expected to reverse in 2018.
