Cuban researchers have developed metabolic modifiers that stimulate the growth and immune system of fish, crustaceans and bivalves, among other marine organisms, Cuban state media reported.

It is a series of innovative products grouped under the name Acuabios, created by specialists from the Agricultural Research Directorate of the Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (CIGB).
