Dip in Loch Duart’s profit a ‘planned step’ in farming strategy

Scottish salmon farming operation Loch Duart put a dip in profit for its 2018/2019 financial year down to a planned alteration in production, though gill health issues also hit results.

Its profit of £1.075 million ($1.4m) was down from £2.6m from the prior year (which ended Mar. 31, 2018), though directors said this represented a "planned step in the realignment of the company's farming strategy to enable production to align more closely with customer demand, and to facilitate future growth whilst maintaining our industry-leading standards.................................................
