Disease the biggest challenge for shrimp aquaculture industry

Disease has overtaken cost of production to become the biggest challenge facing the world’s shrimp industry, according to an industry survey by the Global Aquaculture Alliance.

Presenting the survey results at the Global Outlook Aquaculture Leadership conference in Dublin, Jim Anderson -- professor at the University of Florida -- showed problems with disease on shrimp farms has become by far the biggest worry for shrimp industry players surveyed in 2017...........................
