Gene editing goes viral

A new project involving the use of gene editing technology to increase resistance against the infectious salmon anaemia (ISA) virus has received £500,000 in funding.

The study, funded by the UK's Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC), will last three years and will investigate the possible use of gene editing technology to increase resistance against this viral infection.
