Greek group tipped for 10,000t bass, bream deal over Cooke

A combined bid from two Greek farmers is reportedly set to win in the auction for around 10,000 metric tons of seabass and seabream farms over the Spanish arm of Canada's Cooke, sources told Undercurrent News.

The Greek bid -- led by Bitsakos Aquaculture, owned by investment firm Diorasis International, and Kefolania Fisheries -- is tipped as the winner in the process, brought about by the need for AMERRA Capital Management and Mubadala Investment Company to divest some assets to get their merger of the country's three largest farmers done, sources said.
