Grieg maintains 100,000t target despite production issues

Grieg Seafood is sticking to its plan of producing 100,000 metric tons of salmon globally by 2020, despite issues in its farming operations in Scotland and Canada.

The company had issues with algae in its Scottish farms in Shetland and its operations in the west coast Canadian province of British Columbia (BC). Grieg’s farms in Shetland were also impacted by gill disease, with the BC farms hit by sea lice issues.
