Gumusdoga to build Turkey’s largest bass, bream farm

Gumusdoga Seafood, which is one of Turkey's larger aquaculture firms, will be merging three of its existing farms in the Mugla region into a new site that will become the largest seabass and sea bream farm in the country.

The new facility, which is located in Gulluk Bay, in the southwestern part of Turkey, has merged "older farms into one and moved [their fish] to the far open sea", an executive with the firm, Oguz Kileci, told Undercurrent News.

"This will decrease operational efforts at farming. Far open sea with strong currents would be perfect for growth and quality," Kileci pointed out, adding that the new farm will not.................................................................
