Invasive fanworm seen as risk to New Zealand shellfish farming

An invasive species known as the Mediterranean fanworm poses a serious risk to New Zealand's coastal marine life and aquaculture industry, Radio New Zealand reported.

The species was recently discovered in waters off Marlborough, New Zealand, after it was found on the keel of a yacht that had sailed from Auckland.
