Last of the daily headlines from WFGA - Switch over to NWAA

(01/16/20)

January 1, 2020, marks the end of more than 20 years of Daily News Headlines for the Washington Fish Growers Association. The new name for the organization is the Northwest Aquaculture Alliance. The change is the result of regional developments in the public relations and political environment for aquaculture in the Northwestern US and Western Canada.

The new organization, NWAA, represents Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon and British Columbia. The goal is to have a larger impact on the public perception of both fin fish and shell fish aquaculture in our region.

NWAA will continue to provide Daily News Headlines to the community. However, a new platform and distribution strategy will be employed. To receive this daily news service recipients will need to be a member of NWAA or a subscriber to the service. Subscribers will be asked to pay a nominal fee of $25 per year.

New members go to https://www.nwaquaculturealliance.org/about/  and hit JOIN to sign up. Those wishing to subscribe to the news service should hit CONTACT and send a message with your request. You will receive a response by return email.

Many thanks to those who have monitored our website and our industry over the years. It has been a pleasure to keep current with the daily news and provide you with updates.

We will continue to send out Daily News Updates to all our former subscribers until we have completed the change over. If you have stopped receiving the updates and would like to continue, go to https://www.nwaquaculturealliance.org/about/ and select your membership or subscriber option.

Happy New Year! - Dan Swecker
