Scientists seek to get measure of RAS gas problem

New measurement methods will make it easier to measure and monitor levels of hydrogen sulphide in recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS).

An increasing preference for growing salmon to a larger size before setting them out in sea cages means more RAS plants are being built, but it appears that the introduction of saline in connection with smoltification in these plants has been challenging for many farmers.
