Scottish government checks in on Cooke Aquaculture’s

Fergus Ewing, Scotland’s secretary for the rural economy, paid a visit recently to Cooke Aquaculture’s offices in Kirkwall on the Orkney archipelago to talk about its high-energy salmon farm, the company reports.

Cooke Aquaculture didn’t say in its press release how soon it would complete its new farm, which is to use some of the most durable, state-of-the-art technology to withstand sustained exposure to high wind and wave loads.

That includes a wave measurement buoy, a weather station incorporating hydrographic sensors........................................
