Scottish salmon industry transitions: wild to farmed wrasse

After an article from The Times stating catches of wrasse for use by Scottish salmon farmers to control sea lice could lead to issues for ecosystems in rivers in the south of England, Loch Duart claims to be operating sustainably.

“Loch Duart and the rest of the industry is making the transition from wild caught wrasse to farmed wrasse,” said Lewis Bennett, Loch Duart’s cleaner fish coordinator, in a press release.
