What ever happened to the Irish salmon farming industry?

A staggering level of official incompetence combined with scaremongering has seen Ireland fall far behind Norway and Scotland

Smoked salmon has become such a staple of the Irish diet in recent decades that when families sat down to their Christmas dinner on Wednesday many had the dish as a starter before the traditional main course of turkey and ham.

Very few probably realised that they were most likely eating Scottish, Norwegian or even Faroe Islands............................................................
