Wild and farmed salmon groups close to deal


TALKS between the salmon farming sector and national angling bodies in Scotland are expected to result in the creation of a collaboration programme, aimed at addressing declining stocks in the country’s rivers.

An announcement on the proposal is likely early in the New Year, and while the details are still being ironed out, it is hoped that the two camps will agree to work together on river restoration projects.
